What a clever girl you are, Miss Carolyn! I loved the present for your brother and the way you wrapped it with one of the little bows. Your envelope making is amazing, Love the little boxes as well! Just what you need is another hobby! Seriously, everything looks great and I'm impressed with how quickly mini-bathtime is coming along. Keep up the good work!

Shadow5618 Thank you so much - my brother loved his present, so I'm super happy! It was so funny when I was making those little boxes.... I kept showing them to my daughter each time I made one, and her response was "Mum, I think you're becoming obsessed with those boxes!" Ha ha that's me.... obsessed with cute crafts, especially one's that are easy to make. From now on I just know I'll be looking for little treats to put inside the little boxes just so I can give them to family/friends :) I thought doing the rotation would mean little progress each week, but I'm happy with the progress I'm making. thank you for your continued support and happy stitching :) x

You are doing great! You are finishing before your rotation even, uh, rotates! And that's good! More time to stitch more projects with! Glad your brother loved his gift - it was truly stitched with love and I'm glad he knew that. It was gorgeous - he should be proud! You did really good.

Your brothers gift turned out perfect he will love it. Great job! 99 is looking good. Love the Easter design and I would have picked pink or blue as well but love the purple you picked but some hand dyed silks would have been nice as well. Love all your little boxes. hugs, Patty BC Canada

Patty Smith He did love it - so I'm super happy! After I started stitching the purple I went to the local supermarket and had a look at their Easter decorations - everything was in pink, blue or yellow!!! ggrrr! haha If I had silks I would have stitched them on lugana because the linen I'm using is quite rough and would have wrecked them. I think I'll do it again next year with the silks. Thanks Patty, and happy stitching :) x

CoffeeStitcher I forgot to mention that you can make Christmas Bon Bons with the punch board - maybe that's something that you'd like to try? I love tools that have a multitude of functions :) With 99 Bottles I set myself a task of 2 shelves per week, and so far it's working great. I haven't gotten bored of it yet, but I must admit I like doing the green bottles over the brown ones. Happy stitching :) x

Love seeing your progress; everything is turning out beautifully. Great idea to have a rotation going- how are you liking it? You may have mentioned before, so forgive me if I missed it, but I was wondering what fabric count do you think works best for HAED's? I'm planning to stitch my first one soon (the freebie santa ornament) Thought I'd try something smaller to start with & want to experiment with tent stitching. I appreciate any advice you have to offer ;) Thanks for sharing your WIPs & finishes & the envelope punch is pretty awesome!

Lone Star Stitcher Thank you very much :) I love the rotation. The weeks go by so fast that I hardly feel as though I've missed each piece, and I'm managing to make decent progress on everything... so far, so good :) I really liked stitching my first HAED on 18ct - it wasn't too straining on my eyes, but it can become too big a design for some people. My current HAED is on 28ct and is tent stitched. It's much harder to see, and although I do enjoy it, I will be doing my next one on 25ct because I think that will be a nice balance between the two. Tent stitching is still quicker, and because HAEDs are so large, I think I will continue tent stitching them. Everyone that stitches HAEDs has their own preference on fabric count - so the best advice I can give you is to do some test stitching on different counts and with both full crosses and tent stitches, to see what you feel the most comfortable with. You might also like to join the HAED Bulletin Board (link is on their website). You will find answers to all your questions + more as well as images of designs stitched on all the fabric counts. I found it extremely helpful when I started. I hope this information was of some help :) x

I love the colors in Mini Bathtime! You did an excellent job framing Good Fortune, it looks perfect in that frame :) I so love the 99 bottles pattern and I wish I knew a beer drinker I could make it for. You are making great progress on it! I am not much for purple either but I am really liking it on Refl-egg-tions, and I have seen your picture of it completed and it is gorgeous! I just ordered some Mo's silks in her Easter colors and I may have to stitch this up using one of those. :) How many skeins did it take to finish? Those paper bows are darling!! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter!! xo

Khristine Doiron Thank you for your lovely comments, as always, Khristine :)When I started the Refl-egg-tions project, I used up what I had on my bobbin first (which wasn't full) and then started a new skein, and only used a small amount of that.... so 2 skeins would definitely be enough. "kitchnstitchn" on IG shared her project with me that she used silks on, and it looks AMAZING!... so you may want to check her's out first. We did have a lovely Easter, thank you. I hope you and your family did also. Happy stitching :) x

Carolyn Mazzeo Thanks Carolyn we had a lovely weekend and we still are not done of Easter yet. We have 2 more dinners this weekend. The only good thing about having divorced parents, the holidays last a lot longer. I love the pink and orange silks she is using! I only ordered one skein of each so I would have to use 2 or more different colors. I don't have any Easter stitches so I am really interested in stitching this one :) So much stitching so little time haha

Khristine Doiron It was the same in my family growing up. Now the kids are older, Easter just isn't the same. My family only really make an effort to get together at Christmas time. Yep I know what you mean - add it to the pile. Now I've finished my Mermaid I know what I want to start next, but there's a whole heap of smalls I'm tempted to start too.... I just want to do it all!

Hi, I love ur work! I'm now about to start the magical creatures calendar on 28 count evenweave linen, did u use 2 strands of floss or 1 strand for the dmc colours and how many strands did u use for the weeks dye works? If I'm reading it right it's telling me to use 1 strand of dmc and weeks dye works apart from the dmc glow in the dark it's saying use 2 strands and the blue outlines to use 4 strands of the weeks dye works? I've always worked using 2 strands of floss. Would really appreciate ur feedback x
