@@youbloodybloodworktimejasper Demons are real but be careful not to blame possession for everything. The heart of an unrepentant sinner is capable of doing plenty of evil sinful things on its own. You know your own heart and history I am not trying to tell you definitively what has happened to you, but I have seen many people who blame demons for every issue in themselves or their lives. I think in some cases it might cause people to not repent of their own sin because they see it as something a demon "made them do" not something they did. For me, I have had issues with drugs, and I know for sure it was something I did, no one made me do it but me, nothing resisted God's will that I stop using them except my own mind and body. I am very thankful to God that He protected you from evil forces you opened yourself up to. New Age and magic practices are growing more and more popular, we need Christians who know what that path is like and who can reach the people in that sin and show them the way out through Jesus Christ. If we encounter any evil beings, we rebuke them through faith in the name of Christ.

We need to prepare more for these kind of questions. Jesus warned that in the end times, Satan will display great signs and wonders to deceive many. With non-believers, I try to approach the topic of magic/new age ideas by asking questions about why they believe what they do: What do you think is behind supernatural power? How do you discern if an entity is good or evil? What are its goals? Do you think that entity loves, hates, or doesn't care about you? How do you know you aren't being manipulated? The Scriptures say we must "test" the spirits so as to not be fooled, and oftentimes I find that these people have never stopped to ask themselves even the most basic of questions about the forces they are dabbling with. Usually they find it troubling to be asked to explain their own beliefs. At this point, I share that I rest assured in my Savior's love and goodness because of the Gospel and His Resurrection. I studied some witchcraft, never used it but I did learned some spells. The main difference I can feel and see now I'm born again, is that Satan wants you to believe you can use your spells and magic as you wish and believe you have power, while you have none, and it's all temporary and the more "power" or the impression of it you want, demons also ask for more and sometimes it can lead to sacrifices you don't wanna do. The more you go deep into spells and studying it, the more you feel corrupted while feeling pride and insensitive, but deep inside you feel the hurt of loosing your humanity. While the power of the Holy Spirit, first gives you peace, joy and you don't feel powerful because you don't need to, but you feel someone holds your future, your destiny now and all you need to do is obey and it all goes well, even bad things in the end sort out to create better opportunities or learn and become better. So that's the main difference, one which is magic tricks you to believe you're someone special while you're not, it is borrowed power, limited, temporary and always in exchange of something. Holy ghost power is not yours, it's from God but when you are told to use it, you can see real miracles happening that makes you feel humble, glorify God and be more given to be used. I teached this to a youth group when we went to central amercia and they were all surprised when we prayed for homeless kids and people in need we would ask as Jesus asked; What do you want me to do? People were healed from diseases, an arm that was shorter than the other got extended to it's normal length in front of us, kids in their 12, 13 years old were used to do that, imagine how they felt. Great experience for them but also a lesson of humility and a great lesson that God is still doing miracles today, he will sometimes heal people and sometimes he will not, we don't know why but we are commanded to pray and if God"s power manifest it's because he agrees with your prayer request. Satanic magic is there just to harm people and give the impression to who ever uses it that he or she is in power or in command without knowing your soul is at stake and soon or later without Jesus, you'll get to a point of no return, where your soul will be taken away and from there, there is nothing you can do, you are doomed for the eternity, led to hell and deceived from the father of lies.

Jesus said he came to turn brother against brother, father against son etc. This is in reference to following him that people will hate you for doing so. He then continues to say later on but fear not the world for I have overcome the world, referencing his resurrection. The key difference here is the difference in his power. One is following the fathers will (God in heaven) and the other is being accused of using the devils power.

Don't forget that Jesus also multiplied food, on more than one occasion even. He actually did something like this for me in my life. My workplace has a potluck on our last day before taking off between Christmas and the New Year, and for about two to three years in a row we didn't really have enough food to go around for whatever reason, until one year I asked God to make it an occasion for joy and plenty, and I heard a voice say "so shall it be", and not only that year, but every year after that there has always been more than enough food to go around. It brings me great joy and awe to think back on what God did on that occasion and what he continues to do.

I just walked away from 15 years of new age/occult practice. I’m a Christian now. I saw incredible things and miracles takes place in new age, and that’s why I stayed so long. I saw healing that’s stuck, martial powers, and also people controlling weather. The honeymoon phase wore off and I was left beyond confused and not well. The same church I was baptized in 1.5 years ago started getting into occult practices like enneagram, yoga, and teaching the church how to be “prophets.” They called it all “Holy Spirit.” I started to see that my church was inviting the demonic teaching in and didn’t realize it. I have the same question as the woman in the video. How can you tell if it’s Holy Spirit and not demonic, especially when there are true miracles taking place with these false spirits. Confusing times we are in!

jean michel The cherry on top was ayahuasca. I drank it with a shaman from Brazil. I jumped ship after that traumatic experience, was tormented by those new age spirits I unknowingly collected over the 15 years once becoming a Christian, and was set free 4 months after accepting Christ through water baptism. In my case, in my teens and early twenties I used to study vedanta, eastern philosophy and practice meditation very diligently. I also practiced yoga and worshiped Hindu deities. Initially, I had a feeling of inner peace and calm -- but overtime I was plagued by depression, sadness, lustful thoughts, and even began hearing voices in my head. At the time I thought it was medical schizophrenia, but now I recognise that I was being attacked by demonic entities. In despair, I abandoned religion in my mid to late twenties and became agnostic/atheist, but I was filled with numbness. I fell back on eastern spirituality around 2015, but depression continued to plague me. I desperately searched for God in the eastern faiths, but in the end, the deities I prayed to turned against me, controlled my thoughts, and I became suicidal in 2018. It was at this point that an amazing Christian woman who knew nothing about me entered my life, and she was able to accurately identify and expose the demonic forces working against me. I surrendered my life to Jesus in 2018 and things have never been the same since. When I surrendered to Jesus, I experienced demonic attacks like never before. I was repeatedly visited by an evil sucubus spirit who would rape me at night and give me bad dreams. But thanks to sincerely seeking God, taking refuge in Jesus, and constant prayer, my life has changed for the better. I still get attacked sometimes, but I know that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.

jean michel What a testimony! Have you posted your story on KZbin yet? I can relate with a few things in your story. When I became a Christian I was attacked for 4 months straight. The intrusive thoughts were unbearable and the nighttime attacks were like something out of a movie. I practiced Flying Phoenix Qigong for several years and I believe those spirits were very difficult to get rid of and they still come knocking at times. Have you been baptized?

@@levirush2426 I haven't a posted a full testimony yet, this is really the first time I've shared part of my testimony. Believe it or not, that was the short version and there was so much more that took place. It was beyond crazy. Like you said, the demonic attacks were like something out of a horror movie. I've not been water baptized yet, and I understand that it's a full commitment that needs to be done and taken seriously. I want to be baptised once I've completed a serious study of the entire Bible which I'm currently studying, and I want my commitment to the LORD to be fully informed by his word. Baptism is definitely something I've been praying for and seeking help with -- I don't belong to any church denomination and have trust issues with large organisations, but I'm craving for Jesus to fully immerse me in the Holy Spirit. I know he will do this when the time is right. I read from the Bible daily and try to remain in a state of grace. I have two amazing Christian friends, as well as my sister who has been helping me grow in faith daily. I'm quite a damaged soul, lots of healing to do, so it's a much slower process for me but I pray and have faith that Christ will take care of me. Just knowing that he is real, and that he cares, takes all the burdens away from me. It's an incredible feeling that I just can't explain.

I am a Christian who majored in religious studies, and in college I took classes, and came across the same kinds of questions this young lady brings up. I would explain it this way.. In the sermon on the mount, it says the crowds were astonished, because Jesus did not teach like the scribes and Pharisees, but as one having authority. I think it works the same way when it comes to preternatural/supernatural forces. Sure, for the atheist/agnostic/outsider, there is not an immediately obvious difference between 'miracles' and 'magic' (to put it very simply). But when a sorcerer/medium/witch or other attempts 'signs and wonders', it is always an attempt to control/manipulate something outside of and other than one self (which, when dealing with spiritual forces we cannot see, and have such little understanding of, is precisely why witchcraft and other practices are so dangerous). Whereas for Christ, 'all authority in Heaven and on Earth' have been given to Him. He taught as one having authority - not as one trying to wield/use some other knowledge. And when He called Lazarus forth, or raised the widow's son, or healed the centurion's servant, He did it of His own internal resources, of His own authority, not as one trying to manipulate outside forces.

Numerous contradictions in the gospels such as the two completely different infancy narratives in Luke 2 and Matthew 2 that had Jesus born at different times. Mary goes through the Rites of Purification and about a month later, they return home to Nazareth. That's it. Matthew 2 has them residing in Judea. Jesus is born in Bethlehem. Joseph takes Jesus and Mary, they flee to Egypt to escape Herod's killing of the newborns. They live in Egypt until Herod dies. Then on their return to Judea, they learn Herod's son Archelaus is ruling Judea so they withdrew to Galilee and went to live in Nazareth. These stories are nothing alike. First Luke 2 has the holy family originally residing in Nazareth. Matthew 2 has them residing in Judea then on their return to Judea from Egypt, since Archelaus was ruling, they went to live in Nazareth. In Luke 2:1-7 it tells you Jesus was born during the census when Quirinius was governor of Syria. Quirinius was appointed governor of Syria in 6 AD. Matthew 2:1 tells you Jesus was born during the time of Herod. Herod died in 4 BC. Bit of a time difference for the birth of Jesus don't you think?

The Cross and Empty Tomb? Or, does it point to 'man being god' or some other deity or power? What is the message. Weigh the source of the wonder by the message being given with it. That is also useful and should help us discern what is happening and from whom.

It requires that a believer stay close to Jesus, in reading the word and in prayer, and to walk with the Spirit, being filled by him. Denominational issues are not a factor, although some differences in teaching could make such a process easier or harder. In regards to Satan: when God made us, we were sinless. We had yet to make a choice. Neither had Lucifer at that point. Jesus said of Satan that he was "a liar from the first" and "the father of lies". Satan's first sin was the lie to Eve "You will not surely die." In being the father of lies and the first to sin, Satan became the head over all sin. When Adam and Eve followed after him, they came under his headship and would suffer the exact same fate as him. Therefore, if God had immediately thrown Satan to hell he would have had to do the same to mankind. (Hell is not a place ruled by Lucifer, but rather a place of punishment FOR him) If God were to do it to Satan NOW, most of mankind would be sent right along with him. God's patience with Satan is not for HIS sake, but for OURS. It allowed for God's plan of salvation to be set in motion. It allows more and more time for each of us to make a choice for Jesus. Why was Satan allowed to keep his powers? Why was Adam allowed to keep both his arms? Why was Eve allowed to keep her legs? Whatever is intrinsic to a person or being will remain so. Why was he allowed to sin and thus tempt us to do so? Love requires a choice. If you programmed someone to love you, it wouldn't be love and you couldn't take joy in it. If someone chooses to love you, however, it is beautiful. But the choice to love carries with it the choice to hate. Both must be allowed for either to be meaningful.

At the event I saw a person with bad teeth and a deformed mouth growing teeth and mouth being reshaped under the power of Jesus Christ. I saw a video of a woman who couldn't hear becayse doctors took out her eardrums and other essential parts in her ear. After prayer her ear was restored. I believe these kind of creative miracles can only be done by God, the creator of the universe. Satan can copy and deceive a lot.. but he is not able to grow teeth or restore an ear. Daniel 7 has the four beasts rising out of the sea just as the beast of Revelation (which is the same as the little horn of Daniel 7) does. When I think of the Earth being used symbolically, I think of God's creation of man - dust of the Earth. The occult has power to bring it to pass but in the long run you will not like the final outcome. One place I consulted they went to a psychic that said they would all get raises and they did but eventually the place they all worked went out of business. Also I did a prayer and visualization that healed but the problem was keeping me from a worse problem and I got into worse trouble but I do not even do visualization which is like hypnosis ever again. The Lord eventually healed the worse problem. I thank God he had mercy on me a new believer.

Regarding miracles, I think it is incredibly important to note a couple points people often forget: 1. That since miracles are by definition finite occurrences, we cannot infer an infinite/omnipotent power from them. The most we could reasonably infer from them is the existence of some kind of spiritual entity/entities with some degree of power. 2. If the harmony of nature's laws is evidence for the existence of God, then miracles, or the disharmony of nature's laws, count as evidence against the existence of God. Those who argue both both that the harmony of nature proves God and that the disharmony of nature proves God are trying to have their cake and eat it. They are forced to abandon at least one of those arguments.
