Looks like a great setup. I wish I had that when humping mortar equipment in Alaska , the Alice pack and LBE got the job done(along with youth)😂 JJ

Thanks for doing this, I got the DZ rig (love it) but don’t own any CF packs. Heard they’re moving away from the DG3 for their new CF3, might give it a shot

I have a problem with the DG16. Not sure it's an issue with the DG-3.. The lower strap that connects the harness to the pack rubs up against the side lumbar pads as I'm walking. I've had the DG16 for 3 years and I've been on a few expeditions with it and there's some serious fraying starting to occur in that location both on the lumbar pad and on the strap. I've contacted Crossfire via email about the issue and sent photo's sometime last year, but I never got a response and I've not had time to follow them up on it. In the meantime I've had to wrap those straps with a thick layer of masking tape to protect it from further fraying. You might want to check that area on your DG-3 as well and make sure there's no rubbing going on. Awesome pack otherwise.

I haven't noticed that with my 16 yet, nor my 3 but I'll keep an eye on it.

The Crossfire gear has received nothing but great reviews - it seems to be well designed and constructed. It does however reflect modern pricing but seems worthy of the investment. If I didn't already have so much surplus equipment...I'd take a hard look at this. Fits my needs and preferred style.

Looks stable, how much did you get the combo for?
