I appreciate what you're saying. As a fellow Crossfitter, we don't want to be exclusive to just the U.S. But I think the connection with the military here in the states is more of an informal, appreciative one. Also, thanks for your service.

The connection between the U.S. military and Cross Fit is awesome! Hopefully, in the future, the military branches will more formally incorporate Cross Fit workouts into their PT (both for training and testing).

I agree with you on that point George.

I don't think it is meant to be interrelated, but Crossfit was created to be strong functionally. This makes the two intertwined, but not directly related. No different than an athlete participating in weight training to prepare for their sport.

Promoting the military in 2012 is not big and its not clever. Keep fit , get strong but dont fight. Especially with weapons. Thats no better than gangbanging on the streets. Be peace. Learn to love yourself and everyone else. Thats real strength. One Love

If crossfit is the "greatest global fitness movement" shouldn't it be connected to both the military, politics, and anyone else that we can get buy in from?

I love crossfit, but as European (who also served in the army) the constant connection between the U.S. military and crossfit is disturbing. For me crossfit, the greatest global fitness movement, shouldn't be related to the military, nor politics or anything else but health, community and fitness.
