Thats why I LOVE Crossfit...you can scale ANYTHING to your current level of fitness and adjust as you get stronger and more comfortable with the movements. Everybody is sweaty, breathing hard, exhausted, and mutually respected at the end of the WOD. 😊😊

Most people only see the CrossFit games clips, and think the butterfly pull-ups are the only thing that crossfitters do. I do CrossFit and this is exactly what happens at my gym. Different levels of intensity, but always strict form with all movements

Exactly. I am a newbie to CrossFit and my coaches modify everything like this for me. That step up box is 10 inches for me instead 😂 but I’m moving and getting better.

So, I'm 57 and just started CrossFit. I've been lifting weights since I was 13, with good results, but I noticed my range of motion was highly limited. CrossFit has massively expanded my range of motion, while kicking my ass 5 days a week. I still lift heavy twice a week ( moving to 3 times a week), but CrossFit has really changed my life.

My coach adapted the workouts to my level exactly on the right. It’s helped me stay motivated and engaged in the gym through movements I can do for my current fitness level. I would have bailed on CrossFit within the first few days if it wasn’t for the adaptive movements.

I started at 61 after being a couch potato. Most of mine are modified. I teach high school. The female team shot putter and I had a push up contest. I was able to double her amount of push ups.
