Hopefully this will be my sister and I when we are older. Not talking about the CrossFit, but how they act and talk about each other. Gives me good vibes :)

Ahhh, Montreal with beautiful girls drinking nice coffees on terraces. Some of the best cafes in the world (and I have been around), the girls are so nice and smile easily and dress so nicely, they enjoy life, missing it a lot, so lively but so peaceful as well, everywhere you can walk and find nice places.

This is mostly true, but just want to clarify that Paleo is about food quality, not food quantity. The Zone diet, also espoused by many crossfitters, handles the quantity aspect. If you eat almond butter, dates and ribeye all the time, you'll get yourself some serious calories.

Games level athletes are elite in their sport...what this usually entails is a long (childhood and up) athletic background. What that means is years (in most sports) of strength and conditioning training. "Regular" crossfitters, by which I mean the majority of folks that just started, may not have such a background and thus are just building their bodies. Further, elite level athletes inherently have to be strong...being big is part of the game (for most people).

But whenever someone insinuates this the whole community freaks out. It's quite naïve to ignore the disparity between the average crossfitter and the elite; regardless of the free time you have, 4-6 workouts a day is crazy for someone to do time and time again. I must repeat, however, that I am NOT BASHING CF. Everyone gets up in arms when this comes up. I think it's fantastic for people to get back into shape again, find a passion. As a weightlifter I use CF-style metcons to keep conditioning.

It's not crossfit, it's all types of exercise Rich Froning Jr. has won the Games 3 times, and came in 2nd the year before . . .this means he has been training consistently for at least 4 years, before that he did bodybuilding and college sports. Most "athletes" have a background in being athletic, what sets them apart from regular people is that they have spent YEARS developing. Most people want a "6 pack in 6 days" or "muscle made easy," Rich and others abandoned that thinking a long time ago.
@stephan98411 жыл бұрын
maybe cause they lift like 2x of an average crossfitter? cause they're lifestyle is based on training so they train/eat/recovery in a way that other people don't do?
@JakeDeArmas11 жыл бұрын
There's a massive difference between professional crossfit and mainstream crossfit. Certification for teaching can be acquired in a weekend, so many coaches are inexperienced at one of the small gyms that persist everywhere. Then you have the really experienced athletes, like Rich Froning, who know their stuff. Also, a lot of mainstream crossfit athletes are on a paleo diet, which sometimes isn't as sustaining as a high-calorie diet.

I wouldn't say thats true, the crossfits I have been to no one looks like they are starving- they look rather healthy, while the majority of them may not look jacked but they look great. Perhaps what you see is the result of overtraining, ill training, or ill nutrition. In my experience, however, all the coaches care enough to make sure that doesn't happen and the people I have seen are all healthy and make great strength gains.

There's no doubt that plenty of higher level athletes are on steroids. Strangely people act like saying that means that they are cheating losers. No. However, people not drinking the Kool-Aid (in other areas of fitness) can see that some of the elite juice. They have the mass of bodybuilders who were caught on small stuff. They often eat shit food and stay crazy lean. They perform 1-3 "Olympic" weightlifting movements a day and outlift plenty of 7+ hour or longer sessions a week weightlifters.

Too big. They say strong is the new sexy. I agree completely but to a certain extent. I like a girl that's bit really skinny but that has a bit of muscle. But these guys are not just big for a girl they are big even for a guy.disgucsting

When crossfit girls gettoo big and get fat chunky legs its horrible, not sexy at all.
