I was fortunate to be able to take a class from her when she still traveled giving lectures and teaching. A couple of friends and I liked to exchange blocks made with Civil War fabrics to make friendship quilts. Good memories

Oh, I’m loving your videos. I know you felt like this one was choppy, but I find the beauty of these Flosstube chats about reality and not perfection. I was glad to see your Oh Joyous Day chart and start as that is one of the charts I just purchased. I love the funny square flowers. I’m looking forward to binge watching your videos this week. I had watched another more recent video the other night when I couldn’t sleep and thought how perfect your quilt shelf was. I was hoping to have my husband make one like it for my sewing room, but decided my room is already so cramped for the small size. Loved seeing your stitching. Your stitching is so beautiful and so are the pictures at the end. You live in a gorgeous part of the country. Saltbox Stitcher and Brenda and the Serial Starter are the two that I first watched and made me want to get my stitching out after 20 years . Stitching has changed lots in the last twenty years with the new linens and threads. All my original stitches are on Aida and I am 72 and wasn't sure I could stitch on 40. Magnifiers and lights have changed too and I am almost finished with Home For Christmas by Plum Street. Loved watching and hope the smoke clears from the fires.

Glad to see you - Missed your videos! Queen of Freedom is beautiful!! You are lucky to have so many stitchy friends - I didn’t have any until I meet a wonderful woman last year “camping” of all things. We started camping couple years ago, last year we decided to put in a seasonal place as we were only able to go on holiday 3 day weekends or our vacation weeks (as to hook up Friday after work get there late have Saturday then have to be out of campground by Sunday 11:00 am wasn’t worth it) now we can go every weekend, no setting up, and stay til later on Sunday. Rabbit hole lol - anyway we were told as this woman was that there were no sites available. Within a few weeks of one another we each got a site right next to each other. God works in mysterious ways - I am so glad I found this friend that I gave so much in common with. We both cross-stitch, I quilt also, and she knits and crochets, I do a little knitting need her to teach me crochet (did some with my nana when I was little). I too am making a quilt for our camper to brighten it up - tip done - very easy pattern “matchsticks” by primrose cottage. That fabric line (sorry couldn’t understand it) looks similar to Lynette Jensen’s Thimbleberries fabric. I may copy pattern you are doing and follow along. Last thing, is your camping friend Lori, Lori Holt? Lucky you if it is! Sorry this is so long!!

Queen of Freedom is awesome...beautiful stitching and beading...love your Hawk Run Hollow’s in progress...thanks for the information on the different counts of fabrics...the quilts are a favorite of mine...my granddaughter wants me to show her how to quilt...we both love the Lori Holt Christmas Sampler quilt...too bad theses new quilters came late to the hobby and FQS doesn’t carry the main fabric of Cozy Christmas any more...but still sells the book...my granddaughter is 14 and thinks grandmom can work miracles 😜...beautiful fabric for your new starts on quilts...looking forward to seeing you work on these quilts too...best wishes and your photos at the end of your posting are beautiful ❤️

I have missed your videos, so I was excited to see you had posted one. Camping sounds like so much fun. I used to camp with my family growing up and miss it. Your cross-stitch and quilts are beautiful. I recently posted my first FlossTube - The Just BeeCuzz Buzz, featuring my cross-stitch, wool appliqué and quilting - you and many others inspired me to give it a try. I enjoy Lori Holt's quilt patterns, too. A friend of mine and I FaceTime every Friday - we are sewing the 6 1/2" blocks from Farm Girl Vintage Books 1 and 2 and Spelling Bee - we've made over 70 so far. Have a great weekend camping.

I feel your pain about the 40 ct LL fabrics. The weave is so tight. I am doing Village of HRH on Vintage Maple Sugar and I have definitely noticed (I'm on block 7 so I've handled it a lot) that the fibers have started to relax and it's much more enjoyable to stitch on. I recently picked up a different piece of 40 ct. and it was so difficult to stitch with I put it away! All of your BB is so pretty!
