Pedro, I think you mentioned in your livestream that you would go back to making shorter videos. You do what’s best for yourself and the channel. But for what it’s worth, I’m loving these longer videos lately. The thing is, you have such good quality content that they don’t drag on and feel too long or boring. This is just one opinion and you know what’s best. Either way, I’m Leary’s excited to watch your videos. Thanks for the solid entertainment and inspiration.

Hey Pedro. I've been watching your videos for a year. You're the best of them all. Your spirit is inspiring. So inspiring that I'm planning my own trip from Oregon to Patagonia on my Africa Twin. You asked for video suggestions while we're all locked down. I'd love you to make one on advice for a trip like mine. Best months for all the countries. Of course I want to miss intense heat, rainy season in Peru and Bolivia, frosty conditions down south. I wonder about hotels vs camping. Tire preference. Helmet style. Jerry cans or not. I'd love any advice, no details too small. Thanks, Pedro. You're truly the best. Thank you. Keep on. And there's a bed and nice meals wating for you in Corvallis, Oregon.

Especially now with the lock down which will delay your trip further. Great stuff Pedro-enjoyed your video & big thum's up. I'm guessing you are stuck in Buenos Aires. That is a real drag & we're all stuck too. Nothin going anywhere. You take care Pedro-

Was this during covid??? I desperately need to see my girlfriend in Argentina but flights have been unavailable for months. Is there a way for me to fly to Uruguay and then cross into Argentina like this?? Please someone help!!
@iPedroMota4 жыл бұрын
This was almost three weeks before the lock down, flights been suspended until September but I don't see international flights starting even then. This government is taking it real slow. Few weeks ago the ferry between Argentina and Uruguay got going again, once a week on Friday but it's for Uruguayan and Argentine nationals only. Uruguay has been free and open for a while now but not sure about international flights. Maybe you two could meet there or maybe she could could get you some sort of "partner exemption" to get you into the country. Or maybe she could fly out of Uruguay to you. Anyway, South American waifus are the worst to have during these times, endless lockdown in most countries down here. Hang in there mate!
@michaelkerkering70474 жыл бұрын
Pedro Mota Thanks for the info! Unfortunately the latter exemption stuff is only for married people and we are only engaged. I know that international flights have been grounded till September and like you said I have little faith they will get going again anytime soon which only leaves me the option to cross on foot. Are the borders still completely closed? If I was in Uruguay or Brazil am I allowed to cross the border with a passport? At this point I also could give a shit about crossing the border in a “legal” way. If you have anymore details that maybe you could email me about (mkerkering3@gmail.com) that would be greatly appreciated..

Hahaha. It's an integrated inmigration office. You are checked out and in in the same place. You didn't need to go back. But it's a confusion many people had, so I gess the problem is it is not correctly explained.
@iPedroMota4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I found out there that I don't need to stamp in to Argentina since the Uruguayan one is already valid because of their union. Though I asked if that also applied to the Uruguayan temporary import of the motorcycle and they said no. Still had to do a new temporary import for Argentina so glad that I ended up going back otherwise I would have been riding around illegally.
@albertopena56444 жыл бұрын
@@iPedroMota Mmmm.... I think you also missunderstood that. The integrated inmigration/customs means that the officials of the two countries operate in the same location. I'm sure that your passport might have been stamped out from Uruguay and in for Argentina in that location (well, maybe stamping out is just done electronically in their registers now). And same thing for the motorcycle admition into Argentina. Since you came back, they probably did that twice. I guess it was a problem of communication. They didn't tell you that the whole process was done the first time, and they didn't completely understood what you were doing there the second time, so they simply repeated the process. I've seen many videos of people stopping at the trucks post in Argentina, looking for inmigration, and some even going back like you. Uruguayans and Argentineans know all that, but other tourists, don't necessarily. The authorities should clariffy the process to everybody.
@iPedroMota4 жыл бұрын
Was a bit unclear what you exactly meant but I think I get it now. I went back because the process wasn't complete yet since I only dealt with Uruguayan customs. Still had to visit Argentinian customs and do motorcycle paperwork.
@iPedroMota4 жыл бұрын
@@albertopena5644 I get it for the passport, you're right (no stamp, automatic). I went back for the motorcycle paperwork and specifically asked if the same applied to the temporary import of the motorcycle and they said no. So I had to hand in the temporary import document from Uruguay and they made a new one for Argentina. This did not happen the first time (I didn't go to that office then) so this suggests that the process wasn't automatically completed yet. Otherwise they would have said "no that's also already done you're good to go" just like they did with the passport. Maybe they did something wrong but I doubt it since customs tend to not like doing work unless they have to. You got to remember that my Dutch plates aren't part of the Argentine/Uruguayan customs union, not even Mercosur, my motorcycle is the 0.01% anomaly at the border so the process is probably different. My mistake was not going to the the Argentine office the first time expecting it to be on the other side as is the case usually.
@albertopena56444 жыл бұрын
@@iPedroMota I believe it was their error. I passed that fontier many times and the argentinean customs officials were always after the inmigration office, and before the booth where you had to hand the paper that's says you are done. Even with my Uruguayan plates, the customs guy asks you if you are carrying any prohibited goods and sometimes he may also check the vehicle. Anyway, you probably won't pass that border again... So don't worry.

I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I mostly like them, but I gotta say, your sexism in this video kind put me off. "The bros understand, the girls don't". Really? That 'girl' seemed fairly young, maybe it's her first job, or maybe she's new in that job and doesn't want to get in trouble with her boss? Maybe she's been burnt before. Etc. You complain about women not seeing the context of your situation, but do you sometimes stop and think about the context for other people?
