Crossing Lake Michigan at night. We've never sailed before!

Hey all!
This is Sailing Alchemist's maiden voyage with it's new crew. We had never sailed before this, and we attempted to cross Lake Michigan over night to deliver our new boat from Holland Michigan to Chicago.
As with all FFT's (First f*$@ing time's - Brene Brown), it is a bit rocky. However, we will prevail and continue to try to capture our experience as modern sailors who both have full times jobs. I hope you all enjoy and keep watching to see more!

I bought my boat in Holland and sailed down to Michigan city with the wife. A catalina 30 which I mostly sail single handed. Nice video

We should sail together sometime! I have a 30' boat in Whitehall. I made a trip around the south part of Lake MI last August. Until my engine died in Chicago! I ended up sailing back to Whitehall with no engine! I think I've got her rebuilt now, about to test fire it and get it back in the boat.
