Jack Barnwell is such a super cool, chill dude. I love his style and that property is stunning. The history is amazing. I love the idea that the horses get a little snack when they pull up to the home♡ How kind of the home owner to allow you to tour and show us the beauty! Thank you!♡

5 years ago today, I was watching Jack Barnwell’s Stroh Cottage Garden Tour, and although I was enthralled with the garden, I was thrilled with Jack’s touring partner. That was my first glimpse of Laura, and I was immediately a fan! How funny that this morning’s GA video was posted on the same day, 5 years later.

I'm a total fan of Jack. I love that he admits to neglecting plants at times and the plants have to be able to survive that. I feel the same way. I love the rock borders, it's what I started last year in my yard. The natural look with the ground cover, ferns and such. I'm definitely going for that look. I want my small yard to be a version of one of those areas. I must visit that island one day.

But, well done Laura, you hold your own in what might well be an overwhelming series. We, your followers, are super fortunate to be able to do these field trips with you and Aaron. It was so interesting to see Jack's design style. He is very meticulous about the grass walkways staying very clear, clean, and crisp. Same with the rock border staying very clean/crisp and visible to the eye and the curves are lovely. What I really enjoyed seeing was all the ground cover in the beds. My favorite was the pocket garden leading towards the fountain where there was just so much to look at. I loved all the little trees. The layering there was so soft and beautiful 😍. Another great video. Thank you for sharing M. Isle with us.

Will have to get back to visit and admire and appreciate with a gardeners lens. Jack is so laid back like Laura and Aaron and love that I can relate to this zone and the plants available to us here. Wow!!! This was quite a treat. I love that shire horse in that beautiful barn. How nice that the horses are treated so well. The gardens were so simple, yet look so luxurious. I will probably watch this video a few times.

These are always magical videos and I love them! Beautiful sounds so minimal to describe the spaces Jack has created and his attention to every detail and the vibe of this island. Laura’s, is like a child at Disney World. Thanks so much!🤩

Those gardens and homes look amazing. I can’t imagine building those gardens, and structures without any heavy machinery. They must have been a major task!🤔

I saw a tour Jack did of this garden before the barn was built-what beautiful changes he did to the landscape 💕. Thank you so much to the homeowner, Jack, Laura, and Aaron for giving us a glimpse into this space. When you ride around Mackinac you never get to see behind the gates. 😊
