Nice to see Eleanor back with the herd and Big Joe or Dunbar. She is a special extremely friendly and who adores Dusty. Keep a lot of cubes ready to continue that TLC she's used to. She will be fine - plenty of space to roam around on her own. Question: Are you going to move the squeeze shut equipment to the Ponderosa or are you going to build new equipment to work the bison?

Large animals like Eleanor do things in a big way as it relates to rubbing sores. Eleanor did what she had to do to get some relief, but the sores did look raw. I hope they heal soon and she is not bothered by flys. The videos are very interesting showing what it takes to raise Bison, the work involved on a ranch with acres of land and the elements of weather. The videos are so well laid out for the viewers to feel involved in the roundups, medical care, ups and downs of the red cow births, and handling the unexpected. Maybe good editing but I like to think the Cross Timbers Family are simply passionate about the work they do for the animals they love and it comes thru loud and clear. Job well done! Thank you.

I just subscribed to your channel. You mentioned you had several august heat cycles in this video. I live in SD. I don’t work or live on a farm. But I’ve always paid attention to the calves. It’s one of my favorite parts of spring. Probably the last 5 to 6 years I’ve noticed the Cows and buffalo both seem to have fewer calves in spring and more late in the year. It’s been a strange thing to see. Our winters and spring weathers have changed as well. The springs aren’t as wet with fewer tornadoes and the winters start later with less snow. It almost as if all the seasons are all starting to melt together slowly. As a coupl years ago and last summer we had some of our worst summer weather in Sept and Aug as also with this year also our reptiles are changing. The rattlesnakes are being born in some cases without rattlers.
