A hero shooter after overwatch, with MOBA elements after League, combining the worst of them both, that being the issue of League games being too long and too serious to be a fun game to jump on for a little bit, and the issue of overwatch being that so many characters means many aren't balanced. Add in that it advertised a campaign, but it was super short levels and always-online, and it's death by a thousand cuts. If I wanted to play a fun hero shooter, I'd play overwatch. If I wanted to play a MOBA, I'd play League. They're clashing genres, so they're not going to work well together. We learnt this with SMNC, I don't know why they ignored the signs and made a game like that anyway.

The character design is also very CoD but since it is much more class based, they should have really try that Overwatch kind of design with distinct silhouette and contrasting colors. If they want to keep their design they should have just make different class as different loadout and those load out have different silhouette. Alas, the nail in the coffin is really the over-saturated market. @@awbr1991 to be fair, idk if you actually played the game, but the art was not nearly as good as it looked in the trailers. It was all one big monochrome soup. I remember even setting the graphics to the highest setting and realizing that I still couldn’t really tell the difference between the characters and the buildings around them. So it wasn’t just Cliff’s terrible PR strategy, there were also some serious mistakes in the formation of the game.

I feel like it was doomed from conception purely based off of how plain and bland it looks , it's simply not eye catching and in today's market you need something unique to make it stand out be it an art style , price , lore etc and it had nothing going for it. I remember playing this game in beta got bored and I forgot it existed until now

I find that line especially funny because Overwatch stood out because it was somewhat cartoony. People were somewhat sick of the realistic, gritty FPS games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and (I suppose) Gears of War. It's like the early 2000s, where there were a ton of serious, edgy, good-or-evil video games where you could kill innocent people. It was cool at first, but then people started getting sick of it.

They tried to do something new, they created something, that's cool. I have respect for that. But saying it's "not comparable" to anything else, especially games in the same exact genre released around the same time, playable and marketed to the same audience... that's just egotistical. LawBreakers is interesting but it looks a lot like Destiny mixed with Overwatch. Similar mechanics, similar objectives, weapons, views, etc. And yeah, TF2 is kind of the one everyone wanted to be when they were making this. People want to copy success. Putting their own spin on something is easier than making something new and sometimes, it works and we get something more fun than the original. LawBreakers just wasn't that original and Blizzard is really good at being Blizzard.
