I am really enjoying this channel! I am not a strong player by any measure so my analysis may not be worth much, but...: I see Carl’s fatal mistake as castling on the queen side and I wonder if anyone would agree. For me just not making mistakes is where my game can improve the most. I have a book “Logical Chess Move by Move” which tends to focus on where players went wrong. That’s why I’m thinking more along those lines. Thanks for all the games - especially with the kids.

En passant is as legal as castling. In fact, I agree with the guys who want to remove castling, but I'd only remove en passant if pawns could only one square at a time, making games more tedious.
