The main source of inflation is the creation of new money created out of nothing. Anyone with bank savings is hurt by this creation of new money. Overnight the savings are devalued. It's like a tax but invisible and without any paper trail. It hurts the person who is trying to be responsible by having savings. But inflation is already under control. The US is recovering from the inflation caused by the pandemic much faster than our peers. In fact, if those trillions of dollars increase manufacturing, provide jobs, reduce the cost of transportation of goods, etc. then yes - spending does reduce inflation. Think of the old adage, you have to spend money to make money. It applies.
