It is really funny to me that they really included every character of the base roster except from Steve and Shaheen despite Steve being shown to be present on this exact battlefield in another story trailer. Shaheen is, well, Shaheen once again I guess. Also, with all my love to T7 and T8 OST, this song just doesn't click with me. Glorious opening otherwise, I very much dig it as a fan!

SF keeps selling Akuma, who is a more important/popular character in that game than Eddy is in Tekken, so why not? Eddy didn't make the cut for base roster, so his fans are happy that he made it for DLC, it's natural.

Not to mention this is the first actually great looking Tekken game on release since the PS2 era.@@DSI090People like you will never be happy. Yes they've saved one of the popular characters for DLC to make some more money and continue peoples interest in the game beyond launch. Guess what, without all those DLC characters and extra interest generated in T7, T8 would just be another budget Tekken game with average visuals and just about no content outside of a low budget story mode and the online 1v1s.The base roster has 32 characters, how many do other comparable fighting games release with these days? SF6, MK1?

The amount of people willingly paying extra for a character that should’ve been in the base $70 game. I didn’t buy any “legacy” characters in 7. I just play older Tekken games for that. He could’ve been in the base roster if everyone didn’t buy into this or at least come free in an update like they did back in Tag 2. But then again, Tag 2 almost killed the franchise with how little money it made so I guess it’s a sign of the times…
