I am an African American Jew, I am 52 years old and I have accomplished all the things I have wanted to do and worked hard to attain those things. I have had hardships, yes, certainly I have. However, I have never felt oppressed nor have I used my skin tone as some kind of weapon against others or myself. I went to nursing school in the 80’s with a 4.0 GPA but I am intelligent so it never entered my mind to use my skin tone and not my mind. It is crazy that Black people do this and then whine and cry and victimize themselves to say America in 2024 is basically 1800 and they are enslaved on some plantation. I si ply do not understand if having a Black skin tone = oppression, why did my family, my community, that are African American Jews living amongst African American Christians and never once did we discuss being oppressed. In the 1940s I attended NYC public school and I was the only Protestant kid in a class of Irish and Italian Catholics and they bullied me. Within my own family I was bullied by different Protestant groups. I took the exam for Stuyvesant a high a school. Because it was academically superior it was mostly a Jewish student body. If America is so horrible - WHY DO THEY STAY HERE? Nobody does who is truly oppressed. It's like when I was in grad school with a lot of foreign students who would go on and on about how bad America is, and I would ask them - So why are you here then? (I mean who goes to grad school in a country they abominate? I wouldn't!) All I ever heard in reply was dead silence!!

I'm really disappointed in my liberal JEWISH Democrat friends who will vote BLUE no matter who. I am left wondering, "do they support the right of Israel to exist or not?" Now I am happy to criticize Israel heavily when I think they've done something wrong, something I will do to my own country, America. We should always be willing to criticize governments when they do wrong things, even if they're friends and allies. But who is a stronger ally to Israel than 'the right'? the GOP? Christians? I keep on hearing BS from my Democrat friends arguing that in reality it is MY side that is the Anti Semitic side ... The Republican/Trump Supporters.... And i Just go WTF????

That's why I don't call what's going on anti-semitism anymore. I call it Jew hatred. It puts the issue more specifically on where it is and forces the proponents to defend why they're targeting Jews only.
