Crowdfunding - Where Next, How Far, and What Are the Limits?

To mark the RSA's launch into the world of crowdfunding, an expert panel gathered to consider the current and future challenges and opportunities for the sector. The current RSA Kickstarter campaigns are featured in this video along with links to take you to more information about the projects.
The RSA area on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/pages/rsa has just launched with Fellows' projects looking for your support to make a positive social impact. Help their campaigns and give feedback on the projects, offer your voluntary time, share it with your network or become a financial backer.
Speakers included Baroness Susan Kramer, Ed Whiting, Matthew Taylor, Julie Meyer & Bobbie Johnson. The event was chaired by Matthew Taylor, RSA chief executive.

The free internet is a democratizing technology that decentralizes the social contract through personal dialog; this is a boom to libertarian democracy. Crowdfunding extends that benefit into decentralizing investment, giving us all an important vehicle to de-fang the power of government to act on behalf of huge moneyed interests of a tiny minority. That's why we must protect & refine both the free internet & crowdfunding in principle & in fact.

the sad truth is that the largest multinationals have no problem with available capital, they just don't see any reason to risk any but the safest investments
