It is rather refreshing to hear about royal history from an actual royal.

It’s nice to know that prince Edward is involved in and appreciates the history associated with his particular place in it. So many live in the moment and take all this history for granted.

Didn't realise he was actually narrating at first, yes, good presenter. Interesting, presented with feeling and no plummy voice like some of the other speakers though to be fair, they probably can't help it.

Prince Edward need to do more presentation like this .He is exceptional and know how to present the royal history . I underestimated him, not only he is confident ,He is so well spoken too.Why don't he speak during royal visits ? I never paid attention to other royal except some senior royals but I knew Prince Edward and Sophie are Queen's favourite royal . She hang out with them alot . Nice documentary.

I was waiting for HRH to mention- his mother doesn’t really like the palace either. For her it is the office. I suspect being stuck at Windsor suits her.

Interestingly enough, Her Majesty and the late Duke of Edinburgh were living at Clarence House before she ascended to the throne, and they would have preferred to have stayed there. However, it was due in part to the privy court that they had to move to the palace. Overall, the Queen does prefer Windsor, Sandringham, and Balmoral.

The admiration in Prince Edward’s voice when he tells how young James ll escaped gives a human perspective. Whereas escape meant Europe to Princes of that generation in the twentieth and twenty first Centuries escape for adult Princes/Kings has also meant America most particularly the United States of America 🇺🇸

I don't understand why there needs to be so many irrelevant documentaries about the British Royal Family. Why does it matter. I certainly for one could care less. Completely ostentatious. Such needless attention would never happen to the Swedish Royal Family. So many Palaces is nothing more than a waste of space.
