I've said this before. I've never seen one of these in person. The only ones I've seen were in KZbin videos like this. The style says 1940s to me. I like it. Would the transmission be similar to those used in the GM New Look? That was a 2-speed auto.

MillerMeteor74 This is a 4 speed allison 643. These buses come in 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 speed manual and anything from a 4 to 6 speed automatic. I’ve never come across a 2 or 3 speed supercoach but maybe there’s one somewhere. The supercoach (seen here) was built here in Los Angeles (Chino actually) until Crown went out of business in 1991. They were generally west coast buses.

Also, a lot of buses I see here in NJ are Thomas, IC, Bluebird and Superior. I've also seen Wayne.

I wonder, what of auto tranmissions did Crowns have? I am guessing the original autos had to be HT-740s.

stick shift double clutch 4,5 and 10 gears i remember back in the day when i was in high school i did work go to the bus depot 5th and 6h period class did all sorts of work from light replacing to service check fuel and top the buses off and deadline a bus for blowing a gasket and ecc

It was a automatic and i been in a Thomas bus re Stick manual CATERPILLAR 3208 v8 diesel.
