Crown Him with many crowns
Crown Him with many crowns,
the Lamb upon his throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns
all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him
Who died for thee,
and hail Him as thy matchless King
through all eternity.
Crown Him the Lord of life,
Who triumphed over the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife
for those He came to save.
His glories now we sing,
Who died, and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring,
and lives that death may die.
Crown Him the Lord of love,
behold His hands and side,
those wounds, yet visible above,
in beauty glorified.
No angel in the sky
can fully bear that sight,
but downward bends His burning eye
at mysteries so bright.
Crown Him the Lord of years,
the Potentate of time,
Creator of the rolling spheres,
ineffably sublime.

It's actually a good thing that hymns and other sacred songs are performed in different ways - this means they can reach a wider range of people, according to personal preference. Taking the Word to as many people as possible is exactly what Christ wants us to do

This beautiful Hymn encourages us to not handle life’s problems on our own, but to trust in God and fall into His grace

My family and I attend a great Bible preaching church. Worship is very contemporary. I am 65 and I miss some of the hymns like this one.

I am Muslim and since childhood I studied in Christian school till 12th class this used to be our school prayer and whenever I miss our school 🏫 I used to listen this prayer 🙏❤❤❤
