Crown The Empire - Johnny's Revenge

Johnny Ringo was written in about 15 minutes. Brendan, our manager, and I (Brandon) wrote the song, and when we started working on "The Fallout" we got the idea to write a sequel to the song. Johnny Ringo is about Johnny selling his soul to the devil only to get tricked in to being sent to hell, Johnny's Revenge is about him being in hell, and seeking revenge on the devil for tricking him. But you don't fuck with the devil, so he get's screwed again haha. Hope that clears things up!

Just gonna give you guys the run-down of the story behind Johnny Ringo and his plight (Most of you know, but some of you might be wondering what these songs are talking about): Johnny Ringo is speaking about a man losing everything, including his life, and selling his soul to the devil, or something in that entities realm, for that same creature to fix his life and give it back to him, and in turn, was betrayed by said creature or entity, who instead made his life living hell. and Johnny's Revenge, speaks of him exacting his revenge on said entity, or creature, for torturing him throughout his life, and stealing his soul and taking everything from him. Quite a sick ass and compelling little tale. c;

I remember seeing this in my recommended and lowkey freaking out because I'm a huge fan of The Outsiders,,, I listened to this and the other two songs in the Johnny Trilogy and I definitely don't regret it. I absolutely love the story behind this song and the other two. I'm a fan of heavier music than the other songs by Crown The Empire, but I can't go a day without listening to the Johnny Trilogy.
