I love his comments around how he wears these for him and some days no one else sees them. Everyone is so worried today about having the right watch to impress their mates but THIS Is what its all about. Buy the watch for you, not for others.

Love his attitude towards his collection. I have the same mentality toward my watches, but mine are no where near this caliber of a collection. I do have two Tag Heuer, with my first fancy (so I thought) watch in the Formula 1 Grande Date Chronograph, and the Aquaracer Chronograph. I would love to add a vintage Monaco, and the reissue Autavia. Perhaps one day

I enjoyed this ! Am finding out about wrist watches as a sort of intellectual "holidays" I bought 4 watches in the last month, watched tons of vids, and am studying their construction and names of parts... I say as a holidays because my real interest is in vintage electronics - old oscilloscopes and old test equipment. Sometimes I restore them to original functioning, sometimes I gut and rebuild them, changing from vacuum tubes to solid state and upping the performance while the instrument looks outwardly still original. My collection is just for myself and not to show. I also build electronic digital clock / multitools that use microcontrollers. Very relaxing... :-)

Objectioon!! Jochen Rindt was an austrian Racedriver, he was raised by his grandparents in Graz Austria, he drove his races as Austrian and was also in his official FIA Documents named as austrian! altough he lived in his later years in switzerland,, .. as an austrian I needed to say this;)

Mr. Stein, besides selecting a bracelet over a leather strap, have you experienced a loose, short pin on the buckle. To solve the problem, how about any specific leather straps (perhaps deployant), or a strong Heuer buckle (where would I find one?) Also, a rally strap AND a strong buckle would seem to be a good solution. Please comments? Most appreciated.

That *Vel's Parnelli Jones* AUTAVIA* is the one. What maybe 25-50k , prob get 10-15k for the case back alone at auction ? Just guessing. Jeff S. of OTD is the HEUER YODA. Mr Jack calls him when he has a question about one of his vtg HEUERS.
