@@sam-jd9uu yes I know, but if you restart the pc in the right time, 2 or 3 times in a roll, it will direct you to another screen, the right one. so after the black screen turns into the blue one, hold the power buttom in your device, until it turns off entirely, do that 2 or 3 times, and then, it will automatically enter in the screen I described to you.

When updating, it got to 100% and then the message stated undo all the changes. The issue was resolved when the AppReadiness service was enabled, the default is manual. Hope this helps anyone having issues.

Have you done the above process and then re-updated after enabling the service "AppReadiness" ? Could you please elaborate??? The problem is really frustrating

@@MenACE001 I've tried steps in this video and others and all the suggestions weren't working. When trying to solve another issue, I disabled the AppReadiness service. I forgot to renable the service. Once the AppReadiness service was enabled the updates fully completed. You need to login as administrator to make changes to services. It would be nice if Microsoft doesn't see the service enabled it gives an error message up front instead of going through the whole process and failing at the end. Hope this helps.

Hi - This didn't quite work. When I tried to go to Safe Boot, I got an error: "System Configuration cannot save the original boot configuration for later restoration. Boot changes will be reverted. BitLocker Drive Encryption cannot be used because critical BitLocker system files are missing or corrupted. Use Windows Startup Repair to restore these files to your computer." When I tried StartUp Repair, I got a message saying it could not fix my problem. Really stumped now. Every time my computer tries to install updates, I am getting a "Couldn't Complete Updates" message. Really frustrating...any thoughts?

@@hollalaland its not asus sucks, its windows sucks, they release a preview update to the general masses and force you to upgrade to it, but no one simply cant do it. i have been unable to install this fucking update for 3 months now (if not more)

Asus laptops have a lot of problems that arent windows related, its like they decided they werent crap enough and decided to collab with windows just so they could get worse. Ive seen many other pc/mobile Asus users really struggle to get their devices working properly.

PC had been doing this 'undoing update' dance for the past several days. Today was hung all day trying to 'undo updates'. Decided I would have to just power off and restart. I expected the worst. But PC booted up, I went through the steps here and so far, it's restarted fine. Hopefully the worst is behind me. Only tomorrow knows. . . but THANKS FOR THE HELP. Would never have known how to do these steps and delete last update without this tutorial.

I've done steps 1 - 3. At step 4, "Restart in safe mode," my computer will not restart. It will not reboot no matter how many times I try. So what you have accomplished is, you have made a perfectly functional computer that only had a minor, slightly annoying glitch, into a totally useless computer (with much of my work over the last ten years stored on it) that doesn't work at all. the only thing i could think of is that the computer hardware isnt compatible with the update. if the computer is 10years old then this is the most likely cause. tho i could be wrong.

@@hamedul1 I figured out the problem its not a computer problem at all. For some reason some monitors just don't show safe mode when booted like this. Strange but I just connected to a different monitor and everythings been back to normal.

bruh that dude didn't destroy your computer. You probably just have some kind of configuration that prevents it from rebooting. This NEVER usually happens. I have booted into safe mode like on 8 different computers and that never happened you usually just get rid of safe mode by just restarting the computer or running the msconfig thing and disabling the safe mode and restart. I honestly think that you f2!ked up something before you did this which caused that. Or your computer is just old and decided to give up.
