My as rock x870 steel motherboard has some pads and metal underneath the ssd and it's hard to install this exact ssd. Not sure if I should remove the pad because it's in the way tbh. Feels like I will break the port if I try to secure it on there
@daniel-rodrigoАй бұрын
same problem here. I remove the pad and release the screw - the screw is now "loose" - the SSD seems ok, fitted in the slot - but with the screw loose, it seems that any movement can loosen everything.

Hello, I know that the thing is a unrelated to Crucial SSD but i thought I could reach you the fastest in here - so I was gonna ask you about my idea (which I'm quite unsure about) I would like to get Thermaltake TH420 V2 Ultra ARGB and replace it's fans with LianLi Inf. 140mm fans, but they are slower than a default fans - should I do it or is it a bad idea? (I'm probably stuck to this AIO because I need white AIO and there aren't many 420mm AIO available..) Soo what do you think about this?
@TheProvokedPrawn9 ай бұрын
In my experience it's ok to do and the negative impact isn't massive. But there will be some.

Can I remove this heatsink wothout voiding the warranty?
@TheProvokedPrawn9 күн бұрын
Why would you want to? I don't know the answer but it's a good heatsink and needed for good cooling
@RegenTonnenEnte8 күн бұрын
@TheProvokedPrawn because the heatsink would be black in a white build... and the t705 without any heatsink is 50 € more.

Hi would the stock heat sink on my ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I be enough to cool the drive? My Noctua NH-U12A looks like it will clash with the height of the heat sink that crucial are providing, im cramming it all into a cooler master NR200 Many thanks.

If you have a q latch motherboard it wont secure a drive with a heat sink like the t705 because the whole assembly is too chunky, in fact PP could you test this on some q latch boards if you have them? Mines the B650E-I as ive mentioned here before, it'd be handy for myself and others to know if the heat sink version wont work with a q latch, many thanks.
