Crude News - Anadarko Accepts New Bid From Occidental for $38 billion, My Thoughts

Approximately a month ago, Chevron agreed to buy Anadarko (APC) for $33 billion however a new bid from Occidental (OXY) was accepted today for $38 billion which was accepted by APCs board. Bold move by OXY, which will now be one of the largest players in the Delaware Basin.

Interesting channel you have. Icahn is critical of deal. He just wrote a letter to $OXY shareholders blueequity.io/r/52630 He want's 4 board seats. Stock is down 27% just this year. I'm surprised the CEO hasn't been ousted by now.

Will be very interesting to see how the deal works out in the future for OXY; they took on a lot of debt to acquire APC, swinging for the fences in my book.
