Mike, I started playing stock this year and you are the single reason I can still play. I have learned every last bit of knowledge I could have from you and I am very thankful. Please continue to make videos.

Will do.

Maybe ripple-fire the SRBs by pairs. IRL the three SRBs on Mercury's reentry package would be fired in sequence, not at the same time.
@MikeAben7 ай бұрын
I did try that but didn't put it in the video. I used six or eight of these thin SRBs (I don't recall the name), firing them off in pairs. Didn't do any better. Perhaps a cluster of Aerojets, but either way, I did get a rocket to work with the tech I had. It'll likely get mentioned next ep with the build and mission hopefully the episode after that

@@MikeAben Yeah, I was thinking of the G-load.
@MikeAben7 ай бұрын
@@JohnWilliamNowak Oh, on poor Albert. Yeah, that would have been smarter. I could easily have fired the separation motors in pairs. To be honest, I was just so happy when the vessel first survived reentry during simulation that I put it in the building queue without much more thought. The g-load didn't occur to me until I mentioned it during the descent. Something to think about next time.

@@MikeAben Right, it's a "We got away with it this time" moment, but it's something to keep in mind for the first crewed orbiter.

As always, great stuff! Sometimes less is more but not when it comes to your reputation.

How do you have both RCS and the Liquid Fueled Engine enabled? Whenever I try to use RCS to prevent ullage issues the throttle only controls the RCS fore thrusters. And the enigne doesn't even light :(
@MikeAben5 ай бұрын
I've not encountered that problem. I'm not sure what to suggest.
@philipsommer71755 ай бұрын
I eventually resolved the problem, although I don't know what exactly fixed it. I disabled the Staging for the Thruster Blocks and instead put it on the Toggle RCS action group (which I was was surprised is not done automatically. Also, I switched from Helium to Nitrogen. The Aerobee config also used Helium, so this may have cause a conflict.
@MikeAben5 ай бұрын
@@philipsommer7175 Glad you worked it out. I used nitrogen from the start, so maybe that was it.

Would you please, If able, make available to KOS scraps you've been using? I'm sure many of us would like to take a look at them and see if we can deconstruct them and figure out what's going on. Thanks so much.

They are available on the Discord linked in the description #kos-github-info. The Discord provides a nice forum to ask questions too.

I've also added a link to the GitHub in the description.
