Perfect, exactly what I was looking for. My son who is very tall (6ft4) says that even with the seat in optimal position for his height, his foot still hurts after 30 mins or so due to continually having to flex his foot so cruise control will resolve that. Thank you so much for this.

The fact I had to come to KZbin to figure out how to use the cruise control shows how badly designed it is. I had a Citroen hire car that had the exact same controls. My BMW was self explanatory.

Well this is easier than on the VW Touran. Turned me off the car. I use the limiter a lot as it goes well with automatic transmission - set the speed, put your foot down and the car takes care of the speed. A relaxing away to go

@@tomedward8652 Although you cannot see the cruise control stalk the controls are very easy to use once you get used to them. They fall very easily to your fingers when your hand is on the wheel.

I’ve used cruise control for 30 years on numerous cars, never needed instructions…..until this Peugeot. Same with the Sat Nav! Why do they need to make it so difficult to enter an address and press go????

@@davidsarkissi6906I have the same vehicle and assuming you’re talking about the parking brake, it doesn’t have auto hold only auto release.

Auto hold is automaticly activated when the car is stopped on an uphill or downhill. Just stop press the brake then release it and you have enough time (about 2 seconds) to press the clutch to put it in first gear and move on without using the handbrake. On my Peugeot 308 T9 this is how i use this function.

On my kia if I stop uphill on a slope and the engine stop start activates to off ,then the hill assist does not work and car will roll backwards .To get round this I have to de activate the stop start function on a hill if I have to stop behind traffic .I pick up a 3008 2023 this week Does the same problem apply please.

I've got a 208. The cruise control couldn't be easier. Set to cruise on the toggel. When you reach the desired speed activate by pressing the end of the stalk. To come off, press the end of the stalk again.

I managed to figure out the cruise / limiter control whilst I had a new 2008 but for the life of could not fathom why anyone would stick it where they did on the steering column! Though saying that it took me a couple of KZbin videos to figure out how to change the car from displaying kmh to mph 😂.

So overtaking while the overtaking lane is busy would require me to apply the brake which pauses the CC, and only after overtake I can again press the resume button which will bring me back to my desired speed. You also mentioned applying the clutch will decelerate while the CC is still active. I suppose this is just an info, and not the other way for doing what I mentioned above? Example: press the clutch to decelerate and not hit the vehicle in front, and when overtaking lane is free you accelerate with the gas, and after overtake you just rest your feet which will match your desire speed because CC was never paused.

It’s a good question, the function you are talking about is intelligent, speed limiter assist, so it limits your speed in relation to the current speed zone you are in.. unfortunately this vehicle is no longer in stock so I am unable to check but we do sell new Hyundai and that is a feature so I’m pretty sure certain specifications of Peugeot may also have this feature👍🙂

Mind you, nothing was explained when I took it for a test drive - I even had to work out how to start the thing and put it in gear myself (helpful with the on screen prompts, but still 🤣 )

@@doolanbrian could be chip shortages too. In Australia we only get 3 models - Allure, GT, and GT Sport. And no "in between" - eg, I can't get a GT without a sunroof, and we do not need MORE sun in Oz :) Also, they can't sell Allure for love or money at the moment, so big discounts on offer. Yet all the safety features, including adaptive cruise, automatic braking for people and cyclists, etc, is all there. I'd like a GT with no sunroof, but everything else - but hey, it is what it is :)

Poor design when cars back in 2015 and earlier had simpler designs. I’ll be getting a 3008 2020 and I don’t doubt it’ll be a step up from my 2015 Mondeo but this feature is so weird. Mondeo is one button on steering wheel to engage cruise and another for limiter, then the + - for adjusting the speed. This roller wheel and stork is just so unnecessary.
