We leave Coinjock for an anchorage on the Pungo River. We have an overnight stop at Oriental, then spend a couple of days in Beaufort.

Got to say, y’all have really improved on your shot selection and editing over the years. Y’all make it look so easy and so fun. Glad you got the tour Beaufort, a great little town. Can’t wait for your next video. Stay safe and always remember it’s a pirates life🏴☠️🏴☠️

Thanks. Although our skills have improved some, it is really all about time. I spend more time editing now. To me, the videos are never finished, only abandoned. I always wish I could go over them at least once more to fine tune, but there is always another one waiting to be started.

@@tryingnottosink9107 agreed- LOL welcome to my world of editing for news. I live in a time, now we shoot it and edit the piece within 15 minutes and we are on air within 30. I have wish so many times I had or at least the editor had just another 10 minutes to fine tune it. OH well. Keep it going. Your doing great! But always remember- it’s a pirate’s life cruising. Live the dream🏴☠️❤️

All that was done about 15-20 years ago. We do most of our maintenance ourselves but have used Worton Creek (Maryland) and Father and Son's Yacht Service (Ft, Lauderdale)

Nice video. Every time I hear of Beaufort, I think of South Carolina, my home at Paris Island during basic training. I keep forgetting there is a Beaufort in NC and SC. Although it's pronounced 'Boofurt" in SC. Anyway, it looked like a nice ride. Enjoy.

Did anyone else happen to notice the porpoises in the water at 9:03 as the left Oriental Marina, when the other two boats were coming around the bend. They were towards the bottom left of the screen

We see dolphins almost every day on the water. Lyn films them on occasion.

Looks like pretty smooth waters and good chill times on this leg.... But Sad face :( ......The 'Roger Out' at 1:53 was lacking enthusiasm from Lyn (audio problems?) and Ed didn't even seem to care!

Hello!! I like your videos and keep up the great content. I am hoping to own a vessel as beautiful as your Hatteras some day. I have a quick question. How long do you think it would take to get from Norfolk Virginia to Jacksonville FL on the ICW? Quick as possible. 46ft Jefferson Sundeck, Cruising speed 10 knots., No marinas, staying out on the water at anchor.
@tryingnottosink91072 жыл бұрын
To be quick you would need to go outside. Inside, if you are anchoring, and running 10 hours a day, it would take about 7 days. We only like to go 5-6 hours a day so it would take us about 12. However, as you'll see in the next video, we go outside for a 24 hour run from Georgetown to Fernadina Beach, which knocks about 5 days off the trip. The fastest way is Norfolk to Coinjock, to Beafort, outside for 48 hours to Jacksonville. 4 days at 10 knots.

I bought Bubblehead, a 50 ft 67 Hatteras. My wife put together an amature channel 'Bought a big boat' (use Cincinnati in the search) with our adventures comming down the Mississipi and up the Ohio river to home. I have a ton of stuff to get Bubbelhead and Tiny Bubbles squared away. I did leave a couple of messages on your channel and I think you responded to one but I have had a few drinks and I can't remember the way back history. Thanks for your channel, I knew I wanted a Hatteras and your information has been gratly helpful.

How many hours of transit per day do you find the most enjoyable?
@tryingnottosink91072 жыл бұрын
4-5 is what we like, but we do what is necessary. Overnights are not bad because you are psyched for them. The 10 hour runs are the worst.

hi, I have same boat and a lrc, I just put the same lights on, but 4 on transom, 1 on each side under where the stairway attaches, my rear water tank is elevated, fished wires under no prob, plus eliminated sheer stripe so all white hull, I'll shoot you pics if you have email you give out👍🏻
@tryingnottosink91072 жыл бұрын
So far, the two lights have worked well. At least in the clear waters of the Bahamas. We could probably put two more on if we tried. I could get under the water tank but it would be a major project to take our bed and headboard apart.
