Hey guys! I've binged your videos and I'm really interested in trying freeskates but I'm a little worried as I only own shoes with either a very thick sole (running shoes) or thin sole (barefoot shoes). So either there will be little feel (and thus control) or little stability. What is your opinion on riding with different kinds of footwear? Are skate shoes recommended? Thanks for all the great content!

You can go as long as you can! There're distance riders who do several miles every day. You just need to build up the specific endurance for riding the skates long distance.
