Great video as always Brandon. Can't wait to start seeing the Star and Utopia. Something I found interesting when reading the Royal Caribbean blog yesterday, and you might have seen it as well, but it said this.. It was talking about Star and some things that might be different compared to ICON, and it mentions that Star will not be the biggest ship in the world, that she will not be a foot longer or anything, and they was not going to follow that trend like they did with the Oasis class. It mentioned Star would be 1198 foot long and that ICON 3 would be also. But with that being said, it did not say they would be any smaller either. I'm thinking they are all going to be roughly built to the same 250k size, without classifying one bigger than the other. I guess it will just be common knowledge that the ICON class ships are the biggest without pinpointing a specific ship. Of course they won't really know until they are completed if one is actually a tad bit bigger.

I saw that, very interesting for sure since that was the entire strategy marketing the oasis class. I actually just started editing a video about that lol!

@@CruisingIsLife looking forward to seeing it. It's kinda of a funny subject because they really don't know till the ships are completed on gross tonnage. Wikipedia has ICON listed at 248,663 gross tons and that's probably exactly what she is, but they still have STAR and ICON 3 listed at 250,800, and that makes perfect sense at this point, because they just really won't know until everything comes together. You know the article mentioned that they left off a hot tub idea because they thought it would be a weight issue, but realized that they could have went ahead done it, so they will be adding it to the Star. That might be the difference between being 250,800 and being what the ICON actually came out to be at 248,663. My final thought is, that maybe they didn't want to go over the 250,800 threshold and now they know they won't and so that might mean that Star will actually be a tad more on the Gross tonnage (closer to 250,800) without being labeled as being any bigger. Kinda of like Carnival does with their different classes of ships. Carnival really doesn't highlight that one ship in the same class is any bigger than another in the same class.
