Thats because after the ancient people spread out all over the world .. Europeans wanted to discover india for trade monopoly..and then they reached india which is basically the malabar coast .. even then east( persians, arabs , many anicent cultures) already had established trade relations..and we started to spread out all over even then.. india being a huge country such history if malayali trade relations are hidden behind the history..
