Tom, I love Chad's Fab, Fab Rats, Matts Off-Road, and Trailmater, and I never miss an episode of any of them. But I've got to tell you, I don't know what it is about your presentation and production, but yours have really become my favorite fabrication videos. It feels like a long wait until the next new segment comes out. Now, I'm not suggesting you need to get more out quicker, but rather I'm just relating how much I enjoy watching your work. I know you're a small shop and it's just you and your lovely (and capable) wife Angela (along with a helping hand here and there), but you're really on to something here. Keep it up brother. Count me as a fan for life. And, as always, thanks so much for sharing. Steve

Your videos are now my first choice on Sundays! You’ve passed Paul, Matt, Chad and Merlin. I also like the length and how you edit your videos to include hours of footage that shows progress. You stay on one project until completed unlike many that jump around.

Amateur tip: put a nut on the bolt before cutting to length and grinding so it will open up the threads on the way off. Chase with a die if desired.

I'm glad to see you using weld-through primer. So many welders don't, and I think that's a big mistake that will haunt them a few years down the road. I suppose if it's contract work they are doing, they don't care as much about it as they would if it were their own project. Another great video!

Tom, When cutting bolt threads off screw a nut on it before putting it in the vise. Holds it straighter and acts as a guide for length of cut. Also helps cleaning up the threads post grinding. Just a suggestion...

I love your work and vision. I have found that when cutting off the end of the threads on a bolt, it can make it easier if you thread a nut on the bolt before cutting so that the end thread isn't compromised, even if it means sacrificing that nut. It is faster and easier than having to chase the threads with a die. Keep up the great work.

Tom Tom, here’s an old school mechanic’s secret for the WJ. You can substitute 1 qt of oil with 1 qt of ATF. ATF is a fantastic detergent and it will break down sludge and varnish inside the engine and valve cover. And you can do this as long as you you’d like on older motors. You should give it a go! Take a before picture of the valve cover. And give it a few oil changes. Hope this helps!
