Lol You're not the only one. I'm the guy who actually bought the original japanese blu ray sets for all the UC titles when they came out in the late 2000's because at the time I never thought we were ever going to get gundam on blu ray. Those sets do have the nicest packaging you could imagine just no english options.

I'll get Witch when they do non-steelbook cases. Disappointed they aren't doing Doan's Island on 4K. It's so weird having a Gundam series only be 25 episodes in total though. Makes no sense to me.

Gundam Reconguista in G was only like 25/26 episodes in total. Everyone forgets about that one. It's a weird one that takes place 500 years before/after Turn A Gundam (before according to sunrise, after according to tomino who was the director of the series) and has lot of locations and country names from it.

@@sanictheedgehog Yes, but ReconG was planned to be 50 episodes long and was cut in half at the last minute. Witch was TWO seasons, but with only 12 episodes each when Gundam seasons are supposed to be 25 episodes each season if they split the show into two seasons. I don't even understand when it became okay to not tell a full story anymore in anime. It used to be you got a 26 episode show in one go and it had a beginning, middle, and end. Now it's like 12 episodes, no ending, maybe another season if it does well, but that next season will take about 5 years to come out and might be done by a different animation studio.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork I suspect Witch From Mercury went through something similar. The series has a very weird pace, very leisurely at first then suddenly gets much more frantic. To say nothing of season two, where the pacing is so fast that at its worst it practically feels like a clip show. I get the sense that Bandai more and more just sees Gundam as an ad for models and is cutting more and more corners in order to save a buck, good stories be damned.

It broke my heart when sunrise stopped putting the dubs on their japanese UC blu ray titles starting with Hathaway. I honestly thought the way they were handling physical media gundam releases at that time was genius.

Good to see Doan is a good disc, still gotta wait a few more weeks for UK release. Waiting on a standard WfM release, those overpriced steelbooks are HMV exclusives here.

Got Doan, was a decent movie, crazy it took 2 years to come out in the US physically. For Witch, I ain't touching that with a 10 foot pool. Hands down the absolute worse gundam series, somehow beating out seed/seed destiny. I'll save my money for the release of Macross 7 that will never ever happen.

G-Witch was Dubbed by the former Funimation Productions crew like Gundam IBO Sunrise uses NY Post for Gundam shows they pay to dub Crunchyroll paid for the G-Witch dub and it was licensed before the merger by Crunchyroll
