Joyboy is a title of the one that awakens Hito Hito No Mi model NiKa. Luffy is what could be called the succesor of the Joyboy that lived 800 years into the past, or better said, the second person that managed to awaken the fruit after it was awakened by the original Joyboy. And ,the main reason for being able to do that is because they share common ideals like making people smile and freedom, for themselves and for all those around him. The idea of Liberation has been there from the very beginning, starting with him setting out to the sea , saving Cobi from Alvida, Zoro, and literally his entire crew, to freeing several kingdoms , and Wano being the newest on that list.

Ok that scene with him next to the floating cloud of wishes for kaido to be defeated and a savior come rescue them... that was amazing. Also seeing momo exaust himself bringing the flying island to a safe landing so it doesnt crush anyone was also great. You know, that whole thing of kaido saying joyboy is whoever beats him makes me wonder.... it almost seems to suggest that he might support luffy going forward as he is acknowledging that he is joyboy returned.

you're probably right about that tbh. Kaido just wants someone to shake the world and realized he can't be what Joyboy is supposed to be. So he wanted to bring war and violence to the world instead while knowing the only one who can beat him is Joyboy - who will change the world even better than he could.

@@coltonwilliams4153 Well... maybe as a secondary effect he knew only Joyboy could stop him and he didn't mind it if it happened. I think he wanted to see the world change as his primary goal. Either he would change it through violence or Joyboy would defeat him and change it himself. I think he knew Joyboy would change the world in ways he couldn't (all Kaido could do is bring a world of violence).

I have never seen anything like this before, The main character gets is ultimate form by dying and entire fight he was having fun and laughing instead of being serious. Truly one of the best fights in Anime, definitely top 3.
