Yeah, the animation reflects Nika’s personality and the awakened Zoan taking over. It’s overflowing with creativity as it has just been reawakened, but the serious laugh once he stares into Lucci’s eyes is perfect. He stops making the ground around him rubbery and hones in on his target. Same way Lucci is depicted to be a crazy animal at some parts of the episode. For certain frames Lucci loses his mind to his awakening

We already had a glimpse of Gear 5's destructive power and what was able to do during the fight with Kaido, but from Lucci's point of view Luffy looks far more sinister than it was ever showed, which is funny considering how in this scene is still acting as the "silly laughing man"; in fewer words, I already understood what those powers were capable of, but up to this point I never realized how TRULY terryifing Luffy can be in this form. It probably helped how this "fight" with Lucci (which was more a disrespect than everything ahaha!) showed how powerless he was despite his new power-up.
