This whole anime is fantastic. I keep coming back to this video just to watch the opening scene with the idol song. It's such great foreshadowing for all the characters we meet and the parts they play in the story, even if you don't realize it on your first watch. On top of that, the combination of the music and the visual beats that go along with them is kind of mesmerizing. It really gives the feeling of "something's about to start" and the final part of the scene where the music shifts from what we the audience hear to how it sounds on Odokawa's radio is a fantastic transition from a prelude to the story proper.

5:33 - 5:41 These words hit me the very first time I heard them: they already introduce Odokawa as the simple and kind man he will act as, although he's also a bit too much blunt (5:43, 14:41) and never breaks his character as a middle-aged man unable to juggle well with young people's world (7:01 - 7:14). Most all of this characteristics relate to his backstory in one way or another, and it's also amazing to see how deeply he has developed in only 13 episodes.

More like Godtaxi, this show is legit freaking amazing, the first ep. got me hooked all the way back in april with the Tarantino-like dialogue, the tight mystery kept me invested and the giga plot twist in the last ep could give Shyamalan a heart attack. If you haven't yet, you owe it to yourself to watch this modern classic. Also, Burusu Springstii.

so, first time seeing this episode, but some details I noticed when rewatching this episode. 3:38. this alpaca is stealing the drugs later mentioned 21:23-21:46. Edit: so at 12:04 we see the silhouette of possibly the alpaca selling the stolen drugs to Dobu also, this is something I noticed the first time through, at 1:55 we hear about someone going missing in Nerima. later, at 2:38, the radio station receives mail from a Tokyo high school student, the exact same description of the missing student in Nerima. later, at 4:28, we have this exchange. Odokawa: where to? that blue hippo: Nerima
