This anime reminds me that fishing is one hobby I had when I was a teenager that I gave up on. Never had any dramatic catch fights like this one. At some point I realized I liked fishing but not eating fish and decided best to cut my losses. Most unrealistic thing is that he didn't stab himself with the hook trying to bait it the 1st couple of times. Those bamboo fishing rods remind me of Pokemon.
