I love the emotional connection they had in just their first meeting. I also love how he was very caring and gentle with Kawaki when he was on attack mode. See kawaki lost his mom when the war ended, then his father started drinking and abusing him, then his father sold him to jigen. His own son to some stranger for money! not only does he get sold for money but also get abused by jigen by hitting him with rods and poles, also jigen reminding him that his only purpose for living is to become nothing but a tool for jigen. Not only being abused by jigen but the rest of the Kara members for disobeying jigen. Now tell me again how his story isn’t horrible.
