Maybe we can call them "The best Southern Hemisphere club in the world" because don't forget about Leinster, Harlequins and Leicester Tigers in the north. You cant be so sure that the crusaders are the best rugby team in the world, imagine what kind of arm wrestle will take place if the crusaders play against Leinster, Harlequins or Leicester Tigers.

I'm a natal sharks fan and remember we used to go over and play the French clubs who'd won the European cup and obliterate them in our pre season games where we had finished 8th or so in super rugby. Maybe now that gaps closed but in the 90s and 2000s no ways. Southern hemisphere dominated internationally and all the international players were at the local franchises. The level of club rugby was immense in the SH during that time

Razor sees a gap in his squad or coaching team as an opportunity to bring in quality - Matera is a great acquisition, O'Gara a past example. Blues have the strongest squad on paper but Crusaders have the shrewdest coach. He'll squeeze all he can out of them and they'll bring the performances.
