I took Jerusalem on Crusade once. I was a living 70 year old legend with a empire that went covered ireland to Sicily. He died a year later and his 6 year old grandson lost it right after and the crusade was lost… It was alright though, we made do taking Byzantine instead Lol

I usually don't join crusades but for some reason one time I was playing as Switzerland and I joined for fun. The pope won not one but two massive crusades. Since I wasn't prepared for an ally win I had to stack wipe my army for contribution points at the last minute. Thanks to the death of all my countrymen one random member of my dynasty became king of Egypt.
