How do you hit woods off the fairway? How do you stop topping fairway woods and starting hitting them further and more consistently?
I'm covering this and more in this golf instruction video.
PRACTICE PLAN
I you like the golf lesson with my compliments you can download the PDF lesson summary and step by step practice plan. Great to take to your next driving range session: Download it for free here:
Many golfers would love to know how to hit driver straight and hit the ball further by increasing the golf swing speed. However, for many club golfers who lack power the fairway wood is their go to club for most approach shots to the green.
If you are looking to hit your woods farther, stop topping your woods or simply looking for a bit more consistently I really hope this golf lesson will help

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZbin and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.
We look at 3 things:
1. How to hold the club
2. How to square the club face
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver
Hope you enjoy

Thanks Danny. I’m usually reluctant to pull my three wood out for this very reason - topping it and dribbling down the fairway. I fall back to my five wood because I’m more confident in that shot. Now I have a plan to follow to put that scary club back in my shot options. Great video.

Hi Danny. Your video's have been a great help to my game recently. I'm an 11 handicapper and shot a 3 over par, 77, last weekend. My best round ever at my home course. And have also shot a few rounds in the low 80's. Thank you 👍🏌

Danny you are always giving us great tips. Here's a great tip for you.During lockdown I was practising chipping into net in the corner of my garden using 30% practice balls.Because I was only chipping a short distance they allowed me to perfect my backswing turn and for the first time in my life to draw my shots. When I returned to golf my whole game had improved because I was getting a better turn in the backswing.Try them Danny-you'll be surprised how well they work.

Great video Danny, that pressure really resonated with me and made realize it was the only time I was hitting my 3wd well! Btw I took your advice from last time and stoped overthinking the game, but one thing really did work for me, from a previous vid of yours was the grip, very basic but sorting it worked wonders and consistency game back 👍

Hi Danny, I'm absolutely sure I can use this fairway wood video to help my game. I do have a tendency, once in a while, to top the ball, and feel like I'm jumping out of my shoes, to try and hit a long fairway wood. Your inclusion of stepping motion, in the last couple of videos, has certainly helped get that feeling of transference (not sure if that's the correct word) of weight but should help the proper strike of the fairway wood. Thanks again for the brilliant instructional videos. Cheers!

Love your 3 wood tips Danny. As you stated that the 5 wood had a little more loft ,so after practicing your tips, I now hit the 5 wood much more consistently than the 3 wood. Thanks again. your tips,

Watched this last night on my phone while at the range and after about 15 minutes was really hitting the ball cleanly again. What did it for me was setting up with my left hand inside my left thigh and then thinking about hitting DOWN on the ball while focusing on keeping my arms extended. Once I did that, topping the ball stopped and I was ripping them right down the middle again 200+ yards with a nice trajectory. This used to be my best club in the bag and over the years became my worst; as you get older (I'm 65) and shorter off the tee, being able to hit a 3 wood some distance is critical to hitting the greens on long par 4s on my course. Very interested to see what happens when I play again next week. Thanks, Danny, you're the best!
