What do you think of the button's decision and was the caller's play genius or reckless?
@gabrielrockman17 сағат бұрын
I think the caller's decision was horrible. It's so easy for him to have just three outs against A-X of clubs.
@renecoty192816 сағат бұрын
What does the caller represent by calling flop and calling / 3 betting turn ? Exactly a suited broadway. So the last player in the action could call with QJ+
@wrapper216 сағат бұрын
I might try this in a low-stakes tournament, if stacks are relatively even, rebuys are over, and we are anywhere close to the money. Otherwise I'm just calling and hoping to hit my twelve (eleven? three?) outer on the river. Then again, in low stakes tournament, I'm all about having a tight image (I look like an OMC), so....
@wrapper216 сағат бұрын
Then again, I'm raising on the flop, and I doubt either hand is calling me.

Zero issue with his play, obviously a nitty game based on the sizing.

Oh if I could take this call and do it all over again 🙈😂. I hate my logic on the turn and after having more time to think about the hand I think I was trying to use the ace to my advantage being the UTG raiser preflop. Thank you Bart for having me on it was fun to discuss a hand with another person as I have very few friends who play poker!

Button shouldn’t have folded, but BB has Ac so he pretty much thinks he’s going against a set
@haydenballard489416 сағат бұрын
The callers logic the entire way was pretty inconsistent. Not raising flop to drive out better hands because he might hit his draw, thinking button could have less than 2 pair+ when they raised over 2 people, especially considering the button is a tight player, and the reasoning for jamming being that he didn’t want to brick out on the river so if someone called he wanted fate to decide, were all strange

I would agree with your points on the poker, I'm not sure if the abuse is warranted for someone who calls in, I don't think encourages new people to call in from different abilities. We are all a different stages in our poker journey and you have to start somewhere.

The line didn't make sense at all, as mentioned you can't call on 2 streets on draw heavy board looking like you are chasing a draw and then decide to represent the set once the pot gets big.

I can believe that it did get through because these games in the UK can play overly cautious but when you reason out the hand like you did A4 should be calling all day long. I'm not sure the bet would get through all the time.

The thing I like about this hand is that it demonstrates something that many players lose sight of at times. ANY play in poker CAN work. The fact that it worked says nothing about if it was correct.

I think I raise the flop & honestly you should call/call turn but I might even consider folding... equity has gone down a lot. Draw heavy line from hero too, not gonna get a lot of folds.

This caller referred to the Button player as a "younger guy, maybe a few years older than himself." However when I first heard caller's voice I thought he was over 50 years old!! Is this caller actually in his 20's or 30's??

I'm kind of a tight player but if I had the button's hand i'm never folding. But I'm probably raising the Flop and there's a strong chance I could have taken it down there. Kind of wish I could see the river so we could see what ultimately would have happened.

OOOOMMMMGGGGG. Button folds A4 two pair hahahahahhaaha. Felt like in game that hero was representing AcXc, the suited ace w clubs. Hero takes a very fishy line to back jam, seems super strange to me. Insane they BOTH folded lolllll. Yep Bart agrees as I’m typing this hahaha what a hand 😅

The difference in poker culture in Europe/UK is purely about disposable income. Very few people in the UK can afford to lose hundreds of pounds at poker every week.

U.K. games are a little bit weird, I'm not sure where this "strategy" came from or why it exists, but leading small into multiple people, oop with their entire range regardless of circumstance isn't that uncommon hahahaha!I I think it's from tournament players because I've noticed it in it's extremes from people who just got knocked out and sat down, I'm saying this but I really haven't played since covid but that's how it used to be
