Cardinal Turkson has himself explained he has served in several positions at the Vatican for 11 years and has already presented his resignation to the pope twice. Cardinal Turkson pointed out that the pope has already this year renewed his position on several important Vatican departments, overseeing doctrine, education, evangelization and ecumenical dialogue. Cardinal Turkson also said : “If the Holy Father decides to let me continue, that’s what it is; if he decides to reassign me, that’s what it is. We are here to serve and support the Holy Father in his ministry,”

The papal posse and Arroyo may be critical, but are very respectful and courteous. They are right to point to contradictions or confusion causing Vatican statements or policies. For example, why does the Vatican constantly invite Jeffrey Sachs, who supports and promotes abortion, to speak at its conferences? Not only that, the V made him a member of the department or dicastery of the Family etc. He's contradicting Church teaching.

I stopped watching and donating to EWTN because of Raymond Arroyo. He is evil. Mother Angelica must be turning in her grave realizing who he has become. He is an opportunist, a climber, a failed actor with delusions of grandeur. Other than him, EWTN does have some very good programs. It's a shame that he has been allowed to stay on. Perhaps he was given a lifetime contract by Mother Angelica, before he became anti-christian.

You know John, your fellow Roman Catholics (the ones who generally show up on the internet, not the other 80 percent who as you point out admire Francis)) are more Protestant than they know (or concede). Private judgment, lack of filial obedience, cliques within cliques, we know better attitudes. The pope, they claim, is just some bishop guy in Rome, and they have their own local congregation who generally loathes him (now that they've driven the moderates out). They have that outlet which regularly knocks him and they applaud. But the RC church is hierarchical. The Pope is the "Vicar" of Christ on earth and the universal pastor. Catholic dogma is not voted on in national synods as in my church. It is handed down and Catholics get no vote, and no right of questioning. Pray, pay and obey. Catholics have a pastor imposed and a diocesan bishop imposed. No vote as in my tradition. So, either humbly and meekly obey and submit or leave. Your dogma allows no dissenters, no votes, no pick and choose.

Jack Morrison. Many believe a pope cannot resign and Benedict XVI is still the true pope. It is no secret an apostasy has taken place in the Church, as prophesied by Blessed Virgin Mary. Infiltration by Masons has definitely occurred and so many in the Vatican are against the doctrines of Jesus and the True Magisterium. The pope is only infallible, according to top theologians, if he upholds the rules and beliefs. Francis has upset many with his ecumenical activities, his globalist views, communist leanings, veneration of Pachamama, statements that Jesus was a sinner, promotions of those known to be involved in sexual abuse and sinful activities, etcetera, etcetera. The Church has had anti popes and we know a schism is in progress as holy priests have been cancelled, traditions forbidden (TLM, sacred rituals, prayers). Many bishops and cardinals are acting against the clergy and laity. You do realize the antichrist will take over the Church and many, even most, will follow him. We know Blessed Mother’s Immaculate Heart will Triumph!Pray for the Church and the faithful.
