Feel like cryin' today... Feel like cryin' today... No one could stop me now... Just came out... Yeah it came out... Nothing to say... Just comes out every one... Just comes out every one... Just comes out when you're wrong.. I wanna give in... Yeah give in... And let it swallow me... So won't you clear my head for a while... Can I lay my body down... Cry now... This old heart's been through the mill... This old heart's been through the mill... It's so damn hard for me to feel... When I lay down... Yeah beside you... I feel something inside... So won't you clear my head for a while... Can I lay my body down I need a place to rest my heart... Cry now... Give me strength for today... Give me strength for today... I will not talk it away... Just for a moment... It will burn through the clouds... And shine down on me... So won't you clear my head for a while... Can I lay my body down... I need a place to rest my heart... Cry now... Feel like crying today...

Bramhall as a guitarist is one of my favourits, I found this video while seeking for him. But the real present to me was to meet Alice Smith the first time on th Internet. Now I seek for her directly. Found a series of later appearances, as time advances she has become an up to date lady, designed by the actual trends - with an extraordinary voice. Nice and beautiful, trendy but not so unique, though it is a wonder to hear her. But thist first, honest, clean seemingly second-roule appearance remains my favorite. She was a really unique phenomenon - this aria was "a great gig in the sky".

From what I've read, he was a bit bummed at her for her error with the lyrics (She was reading the lyrics from the floor if you notice). The lyric is actually, "let it burn through the clouds", but it does sound that way. If you listen to the original recording, she goofed her part a little and sang over Doyle's part...I think it sounds fine, but it threw him off a little and he recovered without missing a beat. Also, she was reading the lyrics from the floor and wasn't totally up to speed with the nuances of the song, not a big deal really as she clearly enhanced it into the masterpiece it is. This song is so good! 🙂

Stunned. Love Bramhall and this performance. Alice Smith forgets her lyrics at some points but has an absolutely killer voice. So so good.
@cs8686 жыл бұрын
rushbuzzy As you can see, if you pay attention, she’s reading the lyrics from a paper on the floor, so she probably didn’t know the lyrics to begin with. At the end of the song, DB says he’s gonna’ bring up Citizen Cope. Alice Smith is or was Citizen Cope’s wife, so it was all probably rather spontaneous. She does have a great voice!
@bob59515 жыл бұрын
maybe flubbed the lyrics around 4:35 ? - just from her facial expression - I certainly didn't notice . . .
