Saw Nils Lofgren at The Dome in Brighton, UK in May 1977, with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers opening the show. Been a fan since of both acts. That was Tom Pettys first UK tour and his first major tour.

Absolutely brilliant, saw him at the Reading festival, live wire performance, band were stunning, doesn't get much better, all credit to the still sadly missed whistle test for recording this, much thanks to the BBC for making such a great and varied show which gave exposure to so many artists, thanks for putting this up

I saw him during the Cry Tough tour at Wells College in upstate NY. It was unbelievable! The band was on a 6 inch riser in the events center, and we were 2 feet from Nils. We were going nuts. He was playing the guitar, then slung it over his back and jumped on to the piano bench and started banging the keyboards. The place was rocking and rolling like I've rarely seen. (Also: A band we never heard of named .38 Special opened for him)
