Does Woolie even know the qualifications for a Purple Heart? It is totally NOT a medal you WANT to receive. I mean the big ones are of course The Medal of Honor (wear that and even the President has to Salute you), The Defense Distinguished Service Medal (or its newer complimentary medal, the Homeland Security Distinguished Service Medal), The Silver Star (which oddly enough is a big gold star with a tiny silver one inside it, there is no Gold Star medal because it sounds like something you'd award to a 10 year old for not pissing himself all day), and maybe the Legion of Merit (looks way fucking cooler than most of the other medals in this category, except maybe the Medal of Honor). Oh and the qualification for the Purple Heart just in case someone didn't know *cough Woolie *cough* is: "wounded or killed while serving under the competent authority in any capacity with one of the US Armed Services". And yes an animal can be given the award (Sergeant Reckless a warhorse from the Korean War was awarded one).
