Ok still new to Halo franchise so who is the floating ghostly figure. I feel they are important

I gotchu. The floating figure is just a special spooky Spartan armor set for Infinite. The voice is a bunch of extracted snippets from the Flood’s “Gravemind”, who’s featured mostly in H2/3’s campaigns. The Gravemind is essentially the master parasite, able to take over and speak through corpses. So the joke here is just a wrong turn into Flood territory :)
