I like how you describe Cryptopsy. A huge fan of Cryptopsy and Flo’s drumming. He’s the main reason why I started playing over 300 bpm in drums. Love the word Bulldozer cause that’s also how Viscera infest describe themselves. Bulldozer grinding high speeding band from Oita, Japan. The drummer there is a high speeder on blast beats. He can play 347 bpm blast beats on his left hand. The drummer name is Yuya Yakushiji.

Holy shit, are some of you listening to Cryptopsy for the first time ever? Lord Worm was the vocalist on the studio recording for this tune, and is both loved and hated for his approach to the vocals. His vocals were basically incomprehensible noises, but it gave you the feeling this guy was about to lose his mind. Might not translate as well coming from someone else. Who the fuck pays attention to the vocals anymore? At this point, it just becomes another instrument.

Way to much mid tone distortion on those vocals. The vocals from the album are muffled and buried in the mix with occational awesome shrieks (which are much more audiable). This is why it works because you mostly hear this INSANELY FAST CHAOTIC BAND during the growling parts! ;)

Normally Matt is a better vocalist than this. It sounds like he’s trying to imitate the inhale screams that lord worm uses, but rather than alternating between the inhales and exhales like lord worm does on the record, he just inhaled through the entire song. So he loses track of the accents and dynamics that the song is supposed to have and just ends up giving a string of overtone drenched squeals. Which, idk, just sounds fucking hilarious.
