Thanks for the video. Forgive me if I'm being critical of your work but the final product doesn't look as "clear" as I thought it would. There seems to be just a smidge of dullness to the clear coat. I mean don't get me wrong, there is most certainly an improvement in clarity from what it was before but after rewinding and pausing it a few times something just seems off. Does it look better once its fully cured?
@StartRestoringHeadlights3 ай бұрын
No offense taken, yes. It looks much better when it cures. When first spraying, there's a process called "Flash off" its when the solvents in the clear coat begin to evaporate. You can see them much more prominent if you pause at 24:56. My first job in the morning usually has a lot of flash off after spraying since its very humid here in Florida

Thanks for the detail you show your viewers! What is the handheld blower you use? With the handheld blower in your car, is there a need for the compressor? Thanks!
@StartRestoringHeadlights3 ай бұрын
My pleasure! Its just a generic one from Amazon. I used the compressor originally, and it just fits perfectly into the back of the car so I never removed it 😅

Does it Matter the Brand of wet Sand Paper you use? 320 / 400 / 600 Grit What Brand are the ones you are Using?
@StartRestoringHeadlights3 ай бұрын
Yes! I can't stress this enough, sand paper makes a massive difference, since a 600 from 3M might be more course than a 600 from another brand. We use Klingspor. Its a silicon carbide, not a aluminum oxide like most use.
