Nice transmitter project Don, having the large ground plane makes a huge difference on the clean carrier signal output.

Thank you Jim. It’s works well and definitely looks ugly. LOL Best, Don

Perfect timing, i was always a fan of the look of Manhattan-style, i had in the past cut copper with a plug cutter, however i have been eyeballing a roll of copper tape lol Now i am glad to see the idea isn't half bad

Thanks. It’s a quick and less expensive way to throw a circuit together using the Manhattan style... Thanks again for watching. Best, Don

Don, thanks for putting this idea out, it's a great way to make one off circuits and is very sturdy, it took 5#'s of pull to lift one of 2 dots off of my test board. Also the transmitter does a great job! Great for a house or shop and fun to build.

Josh - I appreciate the collaboration on the project and look forward to more of the same in the future. Best, Don

pro trick: you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies recently.

Wow, this looks like a great design Don. I love cool basic transmitters. I'll try and get some time and build this neat circuit. Very new to circular pc trace creation. Man it looks like fun.

Tony, simple but works really well. Inductor L1 can be replaced with a 2.2k resistor. For prototypes, the copper foil tape seems to work well for these applications. Have fun. Best, Don

Great project Don. Some time back I used the floating pads technique to make a FM transmitter. I just cut squares off a pc board and glued them on. Worked just fine. Pretty neat way to create a board. On to the Zenith. ;p)

Carl - thanks for sharing your creative approach. These circuits are fun to build, but I’m ready to pull that Zenith down and give it a look over. Thanks again for watching and reaching out. Best, Don

What's the transmit range in actual use?
@RestoreOldRadiosАй бұрын
@@javiermac381 About 5 to 10 feet if my memory serves me correctly. Best, Don
